Peep Club was co-founded in 2020 by Optometrist Nicola and her childhood friend and long-time patient Natasha, after searching high and low for a dry eye solution that Natasha would actually want to use daily.

The Heated Eye Wand
At Brownbills Optometrists we are delighted to stock ‘The Heated Eye Wand’ – an ‘at home’ Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and dry eye treatment, clinically proven to improve eye hydration after just one use. It works to hydrate and rejuvenate the entire eye area in a matter of minutes using four innovative modes. It is travel-friendly, with no need to use a microwave or kettle, and is clinically proven to hold optimum temperature better than a heated eye bag hot compress.
How does it work?
The Wand heats up in under 60 seconds and retains heat throughout use, making it much quicker and more effective than a traditional ‘hot compress’ (which loses its heat the minute it is applied).
Reaching controllable temperatures up to 45°C, the Eye Wand effectively increases the oils in the glands around the eyes so the healthy oils can more easily flow into tears. Gently vibrating at a frequency of 10,000 pulses a minute, the Eye Wand effectively massages the eyelids, stimulating the Meibomian Glands, improving the lipid secretions, reducing tear evaporation and helping to normalise the tear electrolytes and osmolarity. This keeps eyes hydrated and refreshed for longer.

How do I use The Heated Eye Wand?
- Take out contact lenses if you are wearing them, and cleanse your eye area using your preferred cleanser.
- The Wand needs ‘slip’ to help it glide effectively. Gently pat a pea-sized amount of your favourite under eye cream or serum around your eye area using a clean finger.
- Heat-up your Wand to 37-45 °C (this should take about 1 minute). Select your preferred mode of the four modes available.
- Gently run the Wand along your lower lid (below your eyelashes) starting with the inner corner of your eye and very slowly working your way to the outer corner of your eye. The slower the better – to give the heat enough time to work. One run from the inner to outer corner should take 15 seconds. Repeat this motion for 1-2 minutes on the lower lid.
- If you’re using the red LED light, turn this off for the upper eyelid. Repeat the process for your upper lid for a further 1-2 minutes.
- Repeat on the other eye.
For best results, use every evening for 2-4 minutes per eye. It can also be used in the morning and evening.

Is The Heated Eye Wand sustainable?
Yes, Peep Club have thought about the sustainability of The Heated Eye Wand.
- Reusable for at least two years (double the life of a traditional hot eye compress)
- Box and internal packaging can all be recycled (ideally, please sort into plastic and cardboard)
- The Wand body itself can be recycled except for the Wand head and the battery
- USB charger can be reused for similar devices
