Contact lenses can provide you with a new lifestyle filled with freedom, choice and comfort, but it is vitally important that you have a thorough understanding of what you need to do to ensure long-term and safe contact lens wear. Here are some top tips from the British Contact Lens Association!
We also want to share our key five top tips to protect your vision when wearing your contact lenses.
- Always wash and dry your hands thoroughly when handling contact lenses
- Don’t take shortcuts with lens cleaning – follow the advice given by your eye care practitioner.
- Have regular check-ups as advised by your eye care practitioner
- Always rub, rinse and store your lenses in the recommended solution before and after each use (except single-use lenses, which should be discarded after each wear)
- Do not share contact lenses or wear any lenses not prescribed by your qualified eye care practitioner
